Minimum Employment Criteria
21 years of age for Certified Patrol Officers - 18 years of age for Detention Officers
High School diploma or state issued GED
Honorable Discharge if prior Military Veteran and you have completed your required active service
No “guilty” pleas under the First Offender Act
No adverse driving record
No DUI’s (driving under the influence) within the past 7 years
No family violence convictions
No felony convictions
No illegal drug usage, including marijuana, within the past 12 months
No usage of “hard” drugs including but not limited to: cocaine, LSD, crank/crack, ecstasy, methamphetamines, heroin, or mushrooms
U.S. Citizen for Certified and Detention Officers
Valid Georgia drivers license
Accident or Incident Report Requests
