The Board of Commissioners is comprised of 4 district commissioners and 1 chairman:
Each district commissioner is elected independently by the voters of that particular district. The Chairman is elected by all voters within the entire county. Each member of the board is elected for a 4 year term. View the Commissioner District Map (JPEG) to see the boundary lines of each commissioner's district.


Responsibilities


The primary function of the Board of Commissioners is to set policy for county operations. The board is also responsible for approving a balanced budget and setting the millage rate for the county each year.
