Jail Division

The Jefferson County Law Enforcement Center (LEC), which includes the Jefferson County Detention Center was constructed in 2004 with a maximum housing capacity of 126 inmates.

Visitation

Inmates are allowed to list 3 adult, and 3 13-to-16 year-old children as potential visitors when booked into the Jefferson County Jail. All visitors must bring a photo ID to visit.

Hours

  • Visitation is conducted on Tuesday and Sunday from 1-3 p.m., and from 6:30-9 p.m. for Dorm’s A, B, C and D.
  • Visitation is conducted on Wednesday and Saturday from 2-3 p.m., and from 6:30-9 p.m. for Dorm’s E and F.
Each inmate is given an opportunity to visit for 1 30-minute slot on each day.

Bonding Companies


Below is a list of bonding companies that are authorized to provide bonding services at the Jefferson County Detention Center. This list is in alphabetical order and no attempt is made to promote any particular bonding company:

It is a violation of state law and Sheriff’s Office policy for Sheriff’s Office personnel to make recommendations, give advice, or become involved in any way with the bonding process. Please do not call the Jefferson County Jail for names and phone numbers of bonding companies. Jail personnel have been directed not to give this information out, but to refer callers to the Sheriff’s Office Website, and the local phone directory.
